Sing Praises

by Grace 5. March 2018 21:02

Hello Everyone!

I have a new song here for y'all. Let me know what you think!

Sing Praises to the Creator

Verse 1: As I gaze at the stars on a calm chilly night
My heart gives a leap at the glorious sight
My soul will rejoice in the nature's fresh air
As I sing praises to the Creator

Verse 2: As I wander about in the glistening snow
And gaze down at frozen rivers below
I'll thank God that He this world would share
And I'll sing praises to the Creator

Verse 3: As I dance all around in the meadow fair
With the flowers around and warmth in the air
I will thank the Lord for His wonderous care
And sing praises to the Creator

Refrain: For the Lord is good in all He does
And all that He's made for us
My life would be colorless and bland
If it wasn't for the gifts from the fathers hand
So I'll keep singing on forevermore
I will sing  praises to the Creator

Be on the lookout for the intro for our series coming this Wednesday or next, and also be on the lookout for... An upcoming GIVEAWAY for my brother Daniel's book, More Than Conquerors!!!

This was so pretty, Grace!  Thank you for sharing with us.  Is this a song you've written recently or one that you've had written for a long time?
I'm excited about the giveaway --  I didn't know that Daniel wrote a book!

Glad you liked it! I actually wrote it last night. ;)
Oh, I didn't realize I hadn't told you about his book! It's historical fiction and it's about the Huguenots of France during the reformation.

Amazing, another five star song. An adoring message to our Lord and creator, an admiration of the beauty in all that He created. The words paint a wonderfully beautiful picture. I LOVE IT.

By the way, you mentioned that the family is finalizing a CD, I did not know that, but I've sure seen your brother play that keyboard, a natural talent for music. That sounds so special as it's the first CD you all have put together. Let us know when it is out - hopefully on Amazon so we can order one.

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
We actually have made two other CDs in the past - they weren't very good quality though. This one we're using better equipment for though. I'll be sure to let you all know when it comes out!

Awe, thanks! Glad you liked it so much! I've been trying to work on improving my imagery, so your feedback was encouraging. Smile
Oh, I thought I told you his book was published! I told fewer people than I thought...

Thank you Lydia! I'm glad you liked it! A peaceful feeling is what I was hoping it would give, so your comment is encouraging to me. Laughing And I enjoy reading what you have to say, so no problem! ;)

You did wonderful work in writing this song! I have tried before, but have discarded all of my drafts due to a seeming similarity to those "ol' gospel hymns" I dislike! ;)

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it.
I've definitely had songs come out very much like old hymns (I personally like old hymns though). It really depends what I've been listening to recently. I've done southern gospel, bluegrass, hymns, and even some songs that have sounded rather contemporary to me. ;)
