Chain Poem!

by Grace 23. May 2018 17:52

Hey Everyone!

I thought I'd try something, see how it went...

I'll start with a little rhyme, and then the next person can add another small part to the poem, and another person can add another part! I've seen people do this with stories, but I wondered if I could do it with a poem. We'll see if it works out.

This is for the 'non-poets' as well as those who do write! And use your imagination -- It can be silly or serious! Just have fun with it. ;)

Out among the daisies,

Dancing in the sun;

Pretty little thing,

Unseen by all but one...

Now it's YOUR turn!!!

P.S. Cut off date for questions for the Video Q+A is May 25th. ;)

This sounds fun!!

Twirling, whirling, leaping high
All day long till night comes nigh
Moonlit field, star-lit sky
Almost feels like it can fly

Lol, yes!!

One day the wind picked up,
and off it went, o'er the lea
Sailing through the air like a flying cup
all the way to the Adriatic Sea.

It did a double flip
Over the sea and fell in
There seemed no hope for it;
All was lost -- but then...

Is someone going to say what "it" is? Haha!

The "it" was a bee;
he'd fallen into the sea.

Anyhow, he managed to swim to the top of the sea
Where he found a rock island with a seal having tea.
He asked if he could stay,
but the fat seal turned him away.
It was obviously already a very bad day.

The reason the seal was so mad,
Is a reason that's dreadfully bad
While he usually only drank coffee,
He was out, so he had to drink black tea

The poor bee was dreadfully sad
For he knew that the chances were bad -
The chances that he'd survive a night on the open sea.
So he prayed a short little prayer that the seal would invite him to tea.

Well, the grouchy old seal had a sudden change of heart;
Decided he'd wanted company from the start.
So he called out to the little bee
"Get over here and dine with me!"
You see, he was naturally grumpy...

"Dear me, thank you!" The bee exclaimed in delight,
For the tea and honey looked a very tempting sight.
"I am awfully famished, I will say."
"It has been a rather strange day..."

Just tagged you for something!  (You don't have to do it if you don't want, just if you'd like to!)
