Random Ramblings #1

by Grace 1. August 2018 12:51

Hey Everyone!

I'm going to start a series or thing called random ramblings. It'll just be random thoughts that I think of, and they may be short or long. This is RR#1, and maybe when I get to 100 we'll do like a giveaway or something (or 1,000, depending on how fast I go XD).

Anyways, onto my thoughts...

We have a large patch of dahlias in the front of our house. Today I went out and cut out all of the dead ones. Oh my, I can't tell you how many dead ones there were. Hundreds, probably. I kept cutting away, cutting away, cutting away. I was honestly a little worried... ("Are we gonna have any left when I'm done???") There were just so many dead and dying dahlias... Some had fallen over, some had been destroyed by the sun, and some had been ruined in other manners.

Finally, I finished, and I stepped back to survey my work. And I was shocked! There were so many living, beautiful dahlias. And there were many buds that had not bloomed, and are out there at this moment preparing to take the place of the others that had failed and died.

Ya know, we oftentimes get so caught up with the dead and dying and life, and it can be depressing. Politics, churches gone astray, people rising up in rebellion against God by making themselves their own gods, the Devil's agenda thriving in the world... It can get rather depressing sometimes. But when we get feeling really down, we just need to step back and look at all the life. The Master Gardener is still at work in this world. God still had many faithful servants here below, spreading the good news. And there is life still to come. Just like those buds out there that haven't bloomed yet, there are others that God has not yet raised up. There is still hope and life in this world.

Pardon the bad quality of my phone camera... XD

Thanks Grace! Glad you enjoyed it. And yes, random posts are super fun to write! Haha! Especially since I'm more of a sporadic sort of person. ;) Glad you're looking forwards to more of them!
